The collector-facing trust standard for Curiqo, Pin-Telligence, Pin-Dex, sets, evidence, community, and personal collection features.

Curiqo exists to make Disney pin collecting easier, safer, more transparent, and more rewarding through shared standards, governed evidence, and community collaboration. When Curiqo cannot support a stronger claim, it should say so clearly.
How Curiqo makes trust decisions
Evidence over certainty
Curiqo shows what is known, what supports it, what is missing, and what remains disputed. Confidence is never a guarantee.
One canonical pin identity
Pin-Dex is the shared identity layer. Collection, Scanner, Sets, Community, and future transaction features reference that record instead of creating competing versions of the same pin.
Community improves knowledge
Collectors contribute photos, sources, corrections, experience, and research. Shared catalog truth changes only after the appropriate governed review.
Trust before growth
When speed, engagement, or convenience conflicts with evidence quality, privacy, collector safety, or auditability, Curiqo follows the higher-trust path.
Pin-Telligence
Curiqo's retrieval, comparison, explanation, and guidance layer
- Pin-Telligence can answer collecting questions, research pins and sets, explain Curiqo, compare evidence, surface likely identities, and guide the next useful action.
- For physical-pin assessment, identity confidence, evidence quality, authenticity support, scrapper risk, and catalog documentation are separate concepts. They should never be collapsed into one score.
- Pin-Telligence should preserve uncertainty and alternatives instead of forcing a single identity when the evidence supports more than one candidate.
- Strong physical-evidence guidance normally requires useful front and back photos. Backstamp, FAC/copyright, edge, packaging, and source evidence can strengthen specific questions.
- Appropriate public language includes Strong Evidence, Likely Correct, Needs More Evidence, Disputed, High Scrapper Risk, or Likely Scrapper. Pin-Telligence must not claim guaranteed authentic, 100% real, or AI verified.
- Live governed Curiqo knowledge overrides stale snapshots. Pin-Telligence learns authoritative catalog facts from approved outcomes and evidence, not directly from an unreviewed community claim.
Scanner & Physical-Pin Evidence
Scanner is a specialized evidence workflow powered by Pin-Telligence
- Scanner compares the physical pin in front of you with Curiqo's governed knowledge. A strong image-to-record match is not an authenticity guarantee.
- A Pin-Dex reference photo documents the canonical identity; it is never proof that the exact physical item you own, trade, or may someday buy is authentic.
- Photo quality checks answer whether an image is useful for comparison. They do not determine whether the pin itself is genuine.
- When evidence is missing, contradictory, or too weak, Curiqo should ask for better evidence or route the case for review instead of manufacturing certainty.
Pin-Dex, Evidence & Gold Standard
Canonical identity and documentation quality are governed separately
- Pin-Dex is the approved public representation of a canonical pin identity and its metadata. It is not raw training data, ownership proof, seller inventory, or an authenticity certificate.
- Gold Standard describes documentation quality for the canonical record. Gold does not mean rare, valuable, authentic, desirable, owned by many collectors, or safe to purchase.
- Publication, documentation maturity, research state, evidence review, and Gold qualification are separate states. Curiqo can publish a known identity while still showing that more documentation is needed.
- Corrections, merges, splits, evidence decisions, and material catalog changes should preserve an auditable history rather than silently rewriting the record.
- Accepted evidence should state what claim it supports. A strong source for a release date is not automatically evidence for a backstamp, edition size, or physical-pin authenticity question.
Official / Licensed Sets & Community Sets
Set status describes the relationship, not whether an individual pin is authentic
- Official/licensed Collector Hub sets use governed set identity and roster relationships so completion can be calculated from a defensible denominator.
- A roster position may be known before Curiqo has enough physical-pin evidence to resolve that position to a canonical Pin-Dex identity. Curiqo should show the gap rather than invent the pin record.
- Chasers, completers, variants, and required positions should come from governed roster relationships. Curiqo should never guess which member is the chaser simply because a set is known to contain one.
- Community Sets are collector-recognized groupings that are not presented as an official Disney designation. Community recognition is a knowledge claim, not an authenticity status.
- Community Set submissions can propose members, removals, names, aliases, and evidence. They enter review before changing shared community-set knowledge.
- If stronger evidence later establishes an official/licensed designation, that change should move through governance rather than silently relabeling the community record.
Pin Board, Collection Imports & Hunts
Personal collector context stays separate from canonical catalog truth
- Pin Board represents a collector's relationship to pins and their personal organization. It does not replace Pin-Dex as the canonical identity database.
- Bulk Collection Import creates private collection records. Exact Pin-Dex links may be attached when the identity is unambiguous, but a spreadsheet is not proof that the collector's physical pin has been verified.
- Unmatched or ambiguous imported pins should remain safely in the private collection instead of being discarded or forced to the wrong canonical identity.
- My Hunts records collecting interest. A Hunt is not proof of ownership, a trade offer, a purchase commitment, or a public statement of budget.
- Collection size, spending, quantity owned, Prestige, or game activity must not be treated as evidence that one collector is more trustworthy or more correct than another.
Community & Discussions
Useful collector conversation without turning popularity into truth
- Treat collectors with respect. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, threats, targeted abuse, impersonation, scams, and deliberate manipulation are not acceptable.
- Share observations as observations. Do not present guesses, rumors, seller claims, or personal certainty as established Curiqo fact.
- Helpful answers, reactions, votes, saves, or community consensus can guide research, but they do not automatically change Pin-Dex or establish authenticity.
- A collector-selected helpful answer is not a Curiqo-certified verdict. Governed catalog changes and evidence decisions remain separate from discussion outcomes.
- Condition differences, factory flaws, manufacturing variation, and legitimate variants should not automatically be described as counterfeit or scrapper evidence.
- Use reporting when content, behavior, misinformation, scams, impersonation, or collector safety needs moderator attention rather than escalating the conflict publicly.
Sources, Media, Rights & Corrections
Provenance should survive every stage of the knowledge lifecycle
- For factual catalog claims, provide the strongest available source and explain what that source actually supports.
- A public URL can support a factual claim without giving Curiqo permission to permanently reproduce the source's images or other protected media.
- Curiqo should preserve where imported information or media came from separately from the durable asset or normalized catalog field it later uses.
- Display derivatives, crops, thumbnails, and cleaned presentation art never replace the original evidence record.
- Corrections are encouraged. Better evidence should improve the record through an attributable review outcome rather than deleting the history that led there.
- Contributor recognition should reflect useful accepted impact and evidence quality—not collection size, spending, popularity, or submission volume alone.
Privacy, Safety & Moderation
Least privilege applies to collectors, moderators, admins, and systems
- Private collections, private notes, acquisition details, Hunt budgets, direct messages, contact information, and other sensitive data should remain limited to the people and systems that genuinely need them.
- Do not publish another person's home address, private messages, personal contact information, payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information without permission.
- Blocking and muting help collectors control contact and visibility. Reporting routes issues to moderator review when platform action may be necessary.
- Moderators review claims, evidence, conduct, and safety cases within limited permissions. Moderator status is not automatic final authority and should not grant unnecessary access to private infrastructure or financial data.
- Material moderation and governance outcomes should be attributable, reviewable, and auditable. Disputed evidence should remain visible to reviewers until resolved.
Trading & Marketplace status
Curiqo's primary Trade Center and Marketplace experiences are not active today. My Hunts and Community Hunts express collecting interest only. Curiqo will reopen transaction features only when item-specific evidence, ownership, seller verification, moderation, privacy, payment, dispute, and audit paths meet the required trust standard.
When you see uncertainty
“Needs evidence,” “research needed,” “possible variant,” “disputed,” or a lower-confidence Pin-Telligence answer are healthy states—not failures. They tell collectors where the shared record can still be improved without pretending the answer is already known.
- ×Present a public numeric score as proof that a physical pin is authentic.
- ×Hide missing evidence, known risk, meaningful disagreement, or unresolved disputes just to produce a cleaner answer.
- ×Treat a marketplace image, seller claim, packaging, magnet test, reputation, or one community comment as decisive evidence by itself.
- ×Use a Pin-Dex reference image as proof of the exact physical item a collector owns, trades, or may someday buy.
- ×Let AI, a moderator, or a community vote silently overwrite approved shared knowledge without an auditable outcome.
- ×Expose private identity, contact, payment, banking, verification, collection, or moderation data beyond the permissions required for the user's role.
- ×Reward spam, volume, wealth, or generic engagement more than useful collecting, evidence, contribution quality, and trust-building behavior.
- ×Duplicate canonical pin facts across product features when the Pin-Dex relationship can be referenced instead.
Help improve the standard
Curiqo is collector-built. If you find incorrect Pin-Dex information, missing set members, useful evidence, a moderation concern, or a product behavior that conflicts with these standards, submit the appropriate contribution or report it. Corrections should make the system more trustworthy without erasing the evidence and review history behind the decision.
